books on the reading list

I really wanted to comment on Obama's selection of Rahm Emanuel as Chief of Staff, but everything that I know about what the White House Chief of Staff does I learned from The West Wing, so I guess that topic is better left to the pros.

It's been a while since I updated my reading list here. Here are some of the volumes I'm working through.

Looks like a how-to guide to how this transition business works.

Thomas Friedman laid out a compelling case of why green is the new red, white, and blue. Could be a little more technical, but it's not really that kind of book.

I bought this book about five years ago, after I read the author's The American Political Tradition and the Men who Made it, but has not managed to make any significant headway due to the small font and the exceedingly dry writing style. But, based on what I've read so far, this is the book you must finish if you want to understand Sarah Palin's appeal.
