Is Obama experienced enough?

It turns out that Obama has more government experience than three of the guys on Mount Rushmore. I've always suspected that the presidency is so unique in its challenges that there are no other jobs out there that can really prepare you for it. The senators spend all their time meeting in committees or holding hearings, but aside from their staff they don't really have any executive role. The generals and the CEOs have the executive experience, but they lack the political experience in cooperating with factions outside their jurisdiction. Maybe being the governor of a large state comes close, but not where the governorship is "constitutionally weak", like in Texas, and the governor doesn't have much say in running the state apparatus.
